the truth is, if Torrent was my property, I'd close it to the public and only allow small numbers of people to climb and only with advance permission. Torrent Falls is their home, and I've never met a harder working family. They deserve so much better than this.

Of course, I'm a bitch. :P

I havent read the entire thread cause im to lazy but for the dog leash problem, what about placing bolts at the bottom the cliff line in areas that wont bother climbers and have a little plastic baggies available in certain areas just like at parks and such. I would be more than happy to place these bolts and supply a wooden box with baggys. Like I said earlier i havent read the whole thread so i dont know if this idea has been mentioned yet.

And not to be a dick or anything, but i was wondering what prompted this whole torrent being closed? because to me this whole issue just came out of the blue. Like Mark said it will take a little time to get the word out to people that done use this board as a source of information. I just think That the climbers of the red should have either been notified months ago or given longer to change thing in the RRG community and visitors.

I think that anyone that walks up that trail and doesn't put at least 5$ in that box is a pathetic loser. You with your $1000s of dollars of packs and gear and ropes and trucks. Pathetic.

Furthermore, I'm pathetic. I walked up that trail, and I didn't fork over much at all in retrospect. I apologize, thank you for keeping the area open, and I'll make it up next time I'm there.

Hello everyone,

I think the phaser option is the best. That eliminates the bodies. But since I do not have a phaser guns are acceptable. To answer Sandies question about where to put the bodies. It is like growing marijuana, you can do it, but not on your own property.

Peace and Love, Mark

If you use phasers and there is nothing left, then there's no crime. If a body isn't found, then it's difficult to prosecute. As for protection of property, it isn't a defense to murder. However, if you can get them to attack you, you can kill them.

The good news, CSI is not real. I repeat, NOT real. So you can hide a body a get away with it...so I've heard.

I know a few fellers that know places to hide bodies....

Did I say that out loud?

We have to remember the literal people. Do phasers really exist? I think so. I saw one once. It was on stun. Does Mr. Myers advocate killing and doping? They do kind of go together! CSI is real! I have seen it, on the tube!
Morgan, will a preemptive attack work in this case?

Only if you have the media on your side and can make a yellow cake out of uranium.

Would those who you phaser need to be wearing a blue shirt?

I put this together to be passed out or posted at gyms. Please feel free to do so:

I have edited Mark's post, I believe to condense and clarify his comments. (Mark: you didn't ask or authorize me to do this, so I will make any changes you want, or pull this if you aren't happy with it.) Let me know if there are any problems or things to be improved.
