My name is Ian.
I have been under the impression that the removal of the draws was done at night from the beginning. I would have to go back and look through the 25 pages of posts to try and figure out where that came from. Then it came out that you guys had guns while you were doing this. Knowing you guys sat around and made these plans "over beers" I thought it would be pretty reasonable that you would be sitting around over beers waiting for the crowds to disperse and darkness to fall so you could remove the draws.
Glad to hear you guys weren't drinking. My apologies.
For the record... I am not a big fan of community PD's and really don't have a problem with them being gone. That being said, I think they are here to stay in some form or another. However, I am not on board with the way you and the crew went about it. I hope you show up at the meeting tonight to voice your opinion.

I'm shocked that people are shocked that there are handguns at the crag. Pretty much every time you go to the Lode there is probably someone there with a gun.

I think it must be my Canadian up bringing. I always am truly amazed by the American need to fulfill their constitutional right to bear arms.

I don't know that it is as much fulfilling the right as it is knowing some of the details.

People do strange shit when on meth. It is eastern KY, never assume you are safe, regardless of who is around.

Well you see, in America, when someone robs you, you can throw something at them other than your purse.

I have never heard of any climber being injured, held at gun point, beaten, etc. by a local. Can you name any?

I know of at least five murder/body dumps that have happened off of bald rock road in the last ten years. Is that enough for you?

Not my point... you can walk into a bad situation at any time. They won't give a shit if you are a climber, a judge or the mayor (RIP).
Edit: Meant for C2C not Clevis.

Ok, lets save the gun debate for another day.
