Those IPods are so damned cool. I've got an mp3 cd player in the car (which'll take a Sirius satellite receiver) so I tend to listen to one cd-r for a week. Lately I've been listening to:

Beady Belle; both albums are excellent pop by a European chick that knows her soul music.
The Orb; I've just gotten several cd-rs of live shows from this legendary ambient/dance group and enjoy all the different versions of "Little Fluffy Clouds." :)
Beck - Sea Change; Every time I play this album I end up listening to it over and over again for a week or two. Beautiful songs and production values of the highest order.

More than that I've been listening to my two latest songs over and over and over again as they're not finished. You can find scratch mixes of them at my music site: www.psychicreform.com

Thanks! That picture is of Hall's Gap (on I-27) during the first good snow fall back before Xmas. It was right after sunset and I was going to see my grandma. If you stare at it long enough it'll make you puke!

Yes, both of those songs are all me performing. The one album I've got for sale right now is a dirty ambient live set with no singing. These two new songs are from the upcoming album, out this spring, which will be called Alan Evil Sings. I had several other albums for sale through Mp3.com but that site closed and I haven't manufactured any more to sell through my site yet.

You can usually listen to my Shoutcast stream which is a 12hour+ loop. It's especially on late night and daytimes: http://www.ifpr.homestead.com/ifprradio.html

just to be a dick and bring back a music thread that i'm sure everyone wishes would haver died a long time ago I'll list some bands that I think y'all missed.

Frank Zappa - c'mon people he's a musical genius
the bad livers - bluegrass and texas swing from austin
booker T and the MGs - funky
dave brubeck - the first good whiteboy jazz
the talking heads - nuff said
Medeski Martin and Wood - best act touring today
John Scofield - don't even know what to say here, check out UberJam
Morphine - damn those coke induced heart attacks
Paul Simon - top 5 songwriter EVER
Primus - a genre all to themselves
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot must be one of the best albums in
the last 10 years
Royksopp - Euro electronica

also I gotta second votes for Steve Earle and Portishead.

The latter may be the best music ever to get busy to
