Clinton drastically cut miltary spending, and cut our secret agents working on terroism by 20% during his tenure...hmm, wonder, if that had any effect on our botched Intel?
Sources please.
I'm not even touching the rest of that crap, knowing some single mothers on welfare.....

Woo Hoo! Piggie finally showed up!
Anyway, does that mean that I would be able to hold back any of my tax dollars that would go to:
Corrupt, no-bid, cost-plus Halliburton contracts
Military pure-pork spending (e.g. useless bases and weapon systems)
Our pork and racism driven, inneffective prison system
Federal subsidies to grazing, mining, forest product and agri businesses
Corporate welfare
Any deficit run up by Bush and the republican controlled congress
Seriously, a far bigger chunk of your tax bill goes to these sorts of things than to "crazy hippie crap" like drug treatment or keeping kids from starving to death.
So, here's a deal: you pay huge-assed the bill for the military and the Bush deficit, and us lefties will pay for cheap stuff like welfare and non-military foreign aid. How does that sound?
well, you're starting to get it, Tom (though you have made a few gratutious assertions in your rant). the problem is that people don't want to give-up their own little piece of plunder. since much of what you said above (Halliburton contracts, racist prison...) is conjecture, I'll provide some provable examples of socialism supported by the Reps: cattle subsidies, corporate welfare (not to be confused w/ across the board corporate tax cuts. remember, corporations don't pay taxes, they collect them from us), and the war on drugs (which is also supported by the Dems). of course, there are more.
my words of advice to all - if you want someone else to part with their little plunderous govt. wealth redistribution program, then be prepared to part with yours (or admit to being a hypocrite). the only proper function of a govt. is to protect your right to your life and once it goes beyond that, it is an agressor.

I wonder when the government will produce another movie as they did for the Vietnam war (Green Berets, starred John Wayne) to explain their position in spreading the democracy gospel.
Back to the arguments of welfare, social programs, wealth distribution, etc ...

Dems are mostly poor people lead by rich people. You guys are funny. Just keep voting for them and they will tell you what you want to hear. They have been campaigning on healthcare and similar issues for decades. But when they are in office what do they provide? Zip.
John Kerry has been in the Senate for 19 years; have any of you taken a look at his record? I recommend looking into his policies and history. You will find that he has never accomplished anything in the senate. Christ, dems why can't you find a decent guy to put on the trail?
Oh, and I guess it is ok in your opinion to dissent from a war you don't believe in. But I have a sneaking suspicion that you are going to disagree with ANY war that we end up in.

picture a poor woman knocking on the door of the Kennedy compound in Fla looking for a little Clintonesque feeling of the pain, I like to see Clinton wrapped in a French flag and shoved up Whoopi's ass

First, y'all seem to have difficulty sticking with facts and ideas. Instead, you resort to berating and name calling. Hmmm. That sounds like a certain someone I know...Cheney...who cannot think of an intelligent way to make his point...Cheney...and instead resorts to profanity...Cheney...but wow who could that be?
I resort to profanity all the time in my personal life but professionally even I can show restraint.

lol...yes, typical Sprag...lest we forget that both Bush and Kerry have used "fuck" in a public forum (Kerry's was in an interview for Playboy around 1999. He was asked if he wanted to rephrase, and he said no....)
I guess I am giving up this one. I prefer to go back to just a few days ago when I had a life, and when I didn't come on here so much. I almost forgot what it was like to actually train for climbing, spending hours in the gym. Instead, here I sit arguing circles with people who are as ingrained in their petty ideologies just as much as I am. Carry on ladies, and I will only be a voyeur....my wedding is upon me, and I'd rather spend my energy elsewhere.
I will vote for Bush, mostly because Kerry is a joke (My first choice was Lieberman).

Sprag, one last thing, cause I can't let it slide....
The Democrats have been fighting for the little guy, the under dog, the poor person for 40 years now. And welfare, starvation, and homelessness are still prevalent. Why aren't we eradicating it?
My take...we have "enabled" so many for so long. I am 100% for social programs, IF they are based on sensible standards. My personal example. Welfare , single mothers should have to prove that they have exhausted every single avenue to get child support out of the sperm donor before any gov't money is handed over. Then, I am 100% for a helping hand. You work hard for your cash. Why is that so difficult to expect of others in America? This is not some third world country.
Anyway, I love all this fun. No one truly gives a flip what I think, or what you think. But in our corner of the dusty room we get to vent....cheers!

Whaaaat?! I'm learning a lot here because I am one of those "other readers who catch nightly soundbites on the news" or whatever you said. Don't leave!
