It would be nice in retrospect if the Republicans, Democrats, Intelligence officials, International Community and every other entity had not insisted Iraq was active in munitions previously outlawed by the UN, motives everywhere perhaps

sprag...like I said, it truly isn't a partisan issue...or shouldn't be. Kerry voted for the war with 95% of the Senate. what more can we say...MOST thought there were WMD's out there...even Edwards about 3 years ago went public with his belief in WMD's in Iraq...it is only at election time that both sides have now taken to twisting it for political gain. it truly is sickening...Bush not admittting he was wrong, and apologizing, Kerry posturing about his righteous indignation....two sad, very sad politicians indeed.
Piggie, pardon me for showing your particular brand of hypocracy. You bitch about your taxes but expect others to pay in blood? So essentially, you will take the benefits of this country without paying fiscally but degrade others who are unwilling to pay with their lives...hmmm.

I never stated that it was a partisan issue. I will say that many people in the United States didn't believe there were WMD's in Iraq. Never did I believe that scientists from the U.N. would be unable to locate evidence, regardless of the blocking by Hussein, but yet the Prep School Punk would.

OK, poor liberal hippie chick is tying two seperate issues into one, trying to make Pigsteak look like a hypocrite..sorry, but you'll have to seperate the two issues.

Let's take them one at a time, children. First, my complaint about taxes was DIRECTLY regarding spending on social issues. Please show me where I said spending my taxes on a strong miltary was something I hated? You can't find it, cause I didn't say it. touche....

Secondly, if I were drafted, I would defend my country, IN A HEARTBEAT. I would serve for any commander in chief if called upon. I would have went into Bosnia for Clinton, and into Iraq for Bush. Do I expect others to pay with their blood? I don't know...you tell me...if I recall correctly, over 3,000 Americans already DID pay with their blood on 9/11....jesus people, where does it end?

And for Rhunt, and all the other readers who refuse to follow politics closely, and decide to listen to sound bites on the nightly news, I offer a wager. $100 to any opne who can prove Bush lied about his belief in WMD's before going into Iraq. This whole "Bush lied about WMD's" is such bullshit. Congress demanded a vote be put before them before we invaded, and guess what people, Dems and Republicans overwhelmingly voted FOR the war. If Bush lied to you, then so did Kerry with his vote in Congress. You can't have it both ways. Either Congress and Bush were pulling the wool over your eyes, and lying to you, or either Congress and Bush were making their judgement call based on the Intel. It is F'in hilarious to me how this is GW Bush problem, when Congress approved the measure of war. Why are we not calling all Congressmen and women liars? Liberals, got an answer?

hey tomdarch..

good to hear from you..back like old times....

Clinton drastically cut miltary spending, and cut our secret agents working on terroism by 20% during his tenure...hmm, wonder, if that had any effect on our botched Intel?

Which bill to pay. I have an idea. Tell all the lazy ass people on welfare to go get jobs and pull their weight. If liberal agenda had not been "diplomatic" and catering to rogue countries, and let terrorism run rampant in the 90's ,maybe we wouldn't be where we are....we'll never know though, and we are now stuck with fixing and securing our miltary might.

Of course I wish the world was different, and we didn't need to spend money on miltary issues and homeland security, but I also realize the times we are living in demand it. It sucks, I agree with that.

Okay, poor little self-important piggie tries to establish what is most important in our government. Piggie, can you prove that the military is more important than social programs? Can you show me where assisting the empoverished to raise them to a financial status or enlightening the public is less important than protecting our borders? Do you have statistics. Social programs are just as important in this country as the military. Taking care of the poor secures our infrastructure. Enlightening people to be tolerant and to educating them means that there are more opportunities out there for people who start out at a lower economic status. Then, those persons are less likely to rob and pilfer.

Piggie, wake up. Like anyone will ever prove that Bush lied. There are books about it, people write articles about it but those bodies are buried.
