the partisan party ie. same suit from different parties same dead end policies I think Pigsteak is on it but a third party prez would be interesting

which poll reported that number? The lowest I could find, and it was a fox news poll, was 13.
I would guess that government as a whole had pretty low approval ratings given the countries economy was on the brink of failure. I can't see a congress controlled by anybody getting good polling numbers right now. This is a crisis created during a period of Republican controlled congress with a Republican president. How long did we listen to that idiot blather on about the fact that we are not in a recession and the backbone of our economy is strong. bullshit.
oh and the Republican Congress had a 16% approval rating 10/13-16/08 according to NBC/Wallstreet polling data not too much better.

I thought the consensus was that this crisis started with clinton as prez, and the republicans in control of congress. that is when freddie and fannie were asking banks to loosen their lending criteria.
