we didn't free much on lurking fear. looking to do some free climbing on el cap this spring. i went out there with my cousin but we had an easy time finding other partners. we fell in with the stone monkeys almost immediatly. kinda a new version of the "stone masters".

ynp1 that was cold. have you talked to dave? i can't get a hold of him. tyler said he was in bishop briefly.

Aid climbing is anti-practicing.

I guess in that respect, I dig it.

what do you mean by that? i think it is cool. way more of a mental game than physical. it is cool to do like 4 hook moves ina row to loose free climbing above crappy gear for like 50 ft. plus you get to climb el cap 3000 ft of granite. 8)

Yeah, thats what I mean by it.

Anti practicing....as in, the opposite of bouldering, meaning not so stupid.

Aid climbing takes you places.

Bouldering doesn't. People will argue that it helps you with cruxes, blah blah blah, but 90% of people NEVER make the commitment and effort on a route that they do on a boulder, so for most people, bouldering is stupid.

japanese chinese.... same thing....

aid climbing is by far the purest form of climbing and chipping! if you turned all the sport lines in to bolt ladders everybody would be having a lot more fun. then i would be able to on-sight something. everybody needs to forget about freeing stuff and just do anything they can to get to the top of the cliff. then walk off.
