Should J.H. be censored
Now I know why I am glad I am in school. After reading the first page of this rediculous thread, I simply skipped to the end. It amazes me how much time has been spent on this by various people. Maybe everyone should chip in and start a "psychiatrist for JH" fund since the boy is obviously disturbed. Oh wait, since he knows it all, we could simply buy him a copy of the DSM-IV-TR and he could diagnose himself. Hey JH, if you spent more time climbing and doing homework, you wouldn't have time to worry about who does or doesn't like you.

I've been gone for several days and just started catching up on all the new posts. I read the first quote under the "Should JH be Censored" thread. Then I read the one under the "Southern Region" thread. The second certainly sounds like a threat to me. Please understand that I don't want you to "kiss my ass at Miguel's".
I hope to meet several of you at Rocktoberfest and share a beer or two: 
Get to place a name with a face, have a laugh, and see how we can work together toward securing access for climbing activities for years to come.

I was going to keep out of all this stuff but it's just gettin' crazy around here with all the drama! Sorry J.H....I don't know you but from what I see here you are definitely polluting this board with unnecessary drama. I used to like your energy but you've just grown so hateful. I really wish you'd refrain from the threats and vulgarities and use this board for it's primary purpose, that being sharing useful information with other members of the climbing community. Have an opinion...just share it instead of bashing everyone over the head with it. And really, you have a great energy. If you just tried to project it in a positive way I think you'd be surprised at how much good could come from it. I can tell you feel attacked but I bet if you took the mature role and stopped all this crap that folks would respect and follow you. There seem to be several others here that are as offended by you as you are by them. Be a leader and make the change.
I'm taking back my vote of "I agree with some of the things he says , he's a little abrasive though" and changing it to "He's out of line and needs to be censored".

does anyone here really believe that censorship is a good thing? I mean of ideas and opinions, not of misplaced naughty words and flames outside of the suck forum..
Censor: A person authorized to examine books, films, or other material and to remove or suppress what is considered morally, politically, or otherwise objectionable.
I don't want to be that person.
I do believe in self-censorship. I'm not always very good at it myself, though - especially when I am feel passionately about something or someone, but it's the only type of censorship I think I can really get behind.

but while you are on it...yes, censorship is necessary and good...if there is a stack of, let's say "playboys" at the public library, I expect them to be at the reserve desk, or at least high enough that 5 year olds don't learn the facts from there...
is that censorship? sure, cause someone gets to decide how old is old enough to read this stuff...so while I like to think I am a flaming liberal, I also realize that "censorship" is not a dirty word...now, we get to decide "who" and "what"...lol
