I am not offended by dhuff's desire to inform or save. Discourse and changing one another's minds is why we have message boards and the reason why language was invented in the first place. • There was an apparent extremely bad call in the USA v. Slovenia WC2010 game yesterday. The USA should have won 3-2, coming from behind with a half time score of 0-2. This event would have been historically notable! The referee will be asked to support his reason for the call. If at any point in his argument he mentions his past lives he will never ref another football game at any where near World Cup level. If he can't support his decision logically the same might happen. In most other areas we have to communicate and support our decision-making processes to others. On some level this keeps us sane.
