I've seen a ground fall at the load and it wasn't by someone soloing it was some kid whose belayer loaded the gri gri wrong and he broke both his ankles. Isn't that a threat to private land access?
yeah, but they where not flaunting their stupidity, they probably forgot to check eachother. There where tons of people there watching Greig. If he had fallen, what would it be like to be one of the people watching hip plummet 200 feet into that giant hole.

Yikes. I wonder if it'll make it into a magazine. I realize harder routes are being soloed, but that's still a pretty high grade.

so how'd he get down? since I don't solo, I must ask. did he top out last of the bohicans ? if you lower from a fixed line of any sort, the send does not count. it would be much akin to climbin plastic or ice climbing...another non event.
