I am sorry you think that picture is funny... that says a lot about your intellect. Consider me moved on

Let's keep everything in prospective... as a rescue team approaches a climber 11 pitches up:
"2 fingers if you're okay... 1 if you need HELP".
So... someone is flipping someone else?
Power2U... I like you, but sorry, that's funny.

SCINny,
I was in Neptune's yesterday, walked to the new book table and there it was. I had to buy it. I was even happier that I did when I saw the picture of that formerly bad@ss climber on p. 109. Good job on the book.

Hey, folks may want to give some feedback via Amazon reviews:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... 972160949/
Sounds like people will be giving a lot of '5 star' reviews! (I know I would, but since I contributed to the book with the maps, it would be a bit of a conflict of interest.)
Since I got my copy I've been picking it up, randomly reading route descriptions and flipping through it - amazing! Really great photos, very well organized. It's impressive that there are more routes in this than the previous print guide, plus all the photos and additional info, but this is more compact!
I think the fact that everyone here likes it so much is serious praise. This is exactly the group of people (both because of intimite knowledge of the subject matter, and because we're a bunch of whiney bitches) who could nit-pick the thing to death - but everyone loves it! Ray and Dave Pegg (the editor, publisher and main production-person for the book) did a fantastic job!

Tom... I have the patent on singular form of "Whiney Bitches".
Thank you for being more careful next time.
Ray, et al.: It must be stated again, EXCELLENT work.

Wow, just got back from two weeks in Italy with no internet connectivity. It's great to come back to such great comments from everyone about the book. I didn't make the decision about any of the action shots whatsoever (including the dude flipping off the camera) but I wouldn't have objected to that shot. It's kind of Metallica and different.
If you read any of my long ramblings in the book, please read the "Thanks" stuff in the back. The book couldn't have been done without the help of all of those people.

I got mine yesterday. It's the stuff man. I liked reading the history. Good stuff to know about alot of my favorites. The color pics are going to set a new standard for guidebooks. Done with style and flair.

The book is way too nice to take to Red in my pack and risk it getting dirty.
