There really is no content. I liked the picture of clouds that you posted the last time we mixed it up though.

I've got to ask..Was there ever a point in your life where you were not absolutely sure that you are purely a physical being? Or has it always been a concrete, solid belief from the start?

That has been quite a while ago; I was just a child. I used to try to levitate small objects by the putative force of thought. Pre-10 years old I used to pray.
• At some point I realized that there is zero evidence for the metaphysical world. If I admit your fantasy, I have to filter and am compelled to admit others' fantasies.
• Now here are questions for you. Is there anything you don't believe? What is your measure of truth? How do you validate or invalidate X?

Nice answer Caribe. I realized the concept of a supernatural world was a psychological delusion around age 12 or 13. Some people never grow out of it I guess... well, if it keeps them happy, whatever works. What drives me crazy is the evangelical side of people that feel the need to spread their delusional insights around like so much dirty man-seed... whether Christian ideology, Mormonism, Branch Davidiens, Buddhist "enlightenment," or the so-called "content" of this utterly vacuous thread. Can't they just enjoy their fantasies on their own and keep quiet about it? Unsolicited spray is annoying on any philosophical level.

so dustonian, was your latest rant,er um, merely another worldview that needs to be kept to oneself? whether you like it or not, your unbelief is also a belief....

Sure it is, but with the critical difference that I don't feel the need to spread my belief status around. People can believe what they want, and that's fine with me. The original poster in this thread, by contrast, feels he needs to "improve" the world by spreading his ideology around to other people. People can believe in flying monkeys and purple hippos if it makes them happy, for all I care. What gets me is the need some people have to "convert" other people to their way of thinking. This desire has been the source of endless violence and suffering for millenia of human history.

:D  Wow you sound like me. Dangerous game buddy. They will hound you until the end of your days in earth's last corner. No stone shall be left upon a stone; your dwelling place will be desolated and will become the home of the big snake and the eagle owl.
