Make sure to look at fixed draws on routes while you are climbing, even when you are not at Muir Valley. The webbing on the second fixed draw of beer belly failed on me this weekend. I got to some harder moves after clipping the second fixed draw, said take, and the webbing snapped when I weighted it. From the front, the draw looked like a nice, somewhat new petzl dogbone. However, what you could not see, is that the back side of the draw had been rubbing against a sharp edge (Not on beer belly, so it must have been pretty worked when it got put up!) and was cut most of the way through.

thanks to ray and michelle, cell block six and iniquity have been fully equipped with BRAND spankin new draws. steel clipping biners, frost draws, and quicklinks. thanks to you two. my best estimate is this setup cost them between $250-300 for the two routes. buy them a beer.
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.

Sweet.
Just one question... Do I need to bring a adjustable wrench to remove the frost draws and move them to an easier set of climbs?
