Keep in mind that this pastor gets paid to be in church - it's his job, ergo a spiritual AND financial necessity (and possibly a status necessity since he has made the commitment to "shepherd the flock" each week).

yea, belive it or not... some actualy do it because they belive in what they are doing.... its scary to think that such simple minded people are belived and "followed" by large numbers.

So jabbathehut tell me some of your convictions so I can judge them and call you "simple minded"

If your sole objective with the last post was to piss people off, it worked. It is ironic to me that laying down a blanket statement like the one above about an entire group of people, puts you right up there with all of the other less "simple minded people" in the world who make statements like that ( skinheads, nazis, all kinds of racists really, woman haters, man haters, etc).

I wish that I could think of something horribly offensive to you with which to respond to your last post, but I think that you have done more to reveal your small minded, simple nature, than I ever could. Good work.

Almost all do. It's too time consuming not to get paid. I've had plenty exposure to know this

One more thing genius,

I am not a Christian, but I know many (many of whom I disagree with). However, the preacher man of whom we speak on this board is someone who I have climbed with and for whom I have quite a bit of respect. As much as I hate it when religious zealots make blanket statements about homosexuals, Muslims, Jews, other non-Christian groups, I hate it just as much when non-Christians make blanket statements like yours.

It's interesting to me that you would consider faith and the belief in God to be small minded when almost all of the greatest Philosophers and thinkers believed in God or some higher power. You must be really sharp indeed to be able to put yourself so far above those small-minded people.
