Also, McCain can bend time! As of 10:16am Friday morning, the campaign was already running web ads proclaiming victory in the debate that they hadn't quite committed to participating in, and that will not have taken place for another 9 hours!

Sorry, but running ads before the event has even happened is yet another example of a bungled campaign, and the content of the ad just shows how the McCain campaign simply doesn't give a damn about reality.
Does anyone here (other than Larry) think that McCain's stunt of:
- proclaiming a "suspension" of his campaign ("suspended" except for TV ads that kept running, campaign offices that stayed open and kept making calls and knocking on doors, no campaigning except for TV interviews and public appearances...)
- BSing about pushing back the debate (gosh! we can't schedule a VP debate? awww, that's too bad!)
- "helping" with the bailout negotiations in DC (except that McCain doesn't know much about finance and isn't on any of the committees that are working on the bill, and injecting presidential campaign politics wasn't asked for)
was actually "presidential" or showed "leadership"?
Isn't McCain's whole campaign just a series of distractions? We'll see if he's able to actually talk about important issues at the debate tonight, or if he has another stunt to pull out of his ass.

McCain kicked Obama's ass tonight.
Sorry Tomdarch, you must be achin in your ethanol fueled Russian sports car.
Seriously, I was quite impressed with the way both candidates handled themselves, and answered the questions. Not sure the debate will sway die hards on either side.

Funny how our friend Sarah didn't have the time to do the post slaughter clean up interview.

Confidence! And well deserved it turns out.

it is just like the mass email I got from Joe Biden 30 minutes before the end of the debate, declaring a similar outcome for his partner.
