Ashtray I am sure you were being facetious but there is no question that flatlander Yankees are just as ignorant, uneducated, and racist as anyone else. In fact, the only time shooting birds out of a window with a bee-bee gun was suggested to me as being fun was when I would visit my old friends in Chicago. The question here was only weather the confederate flag implied racism, and if piggies gut was sending out the right vibe.

I'm really confused as to which side I'm on in this debate. I was born in Cleveland but raised in Charleston, W. Va. My father was born and raised in Cleveland but my grandfather on my father's side was born and raised in Louisville and my great grandmother on my father's side, Josefina Martinez, was born in Monterrey, Mexico and moved to San Antonio where my grandmother on my father's side was raised. I have visited Robert E. Lee's tomb numerous times but my great grandfather on my mother's side was the warden of the Ohio State Penitentiary when Morgan and his raiders were incarcerated there. I used to have a print of Morgan reviewing his men over the mantle that contained the flag in question but my wife made me take it down and stash it in the basement.
