Uelogy. It hit real close to home and it was funny anyway. It's been on cable so watch for it.

Anyone see Murderball? It's a documentary about Quadriplegic rugby players. Super good flick. Those guys are brutal!
thanks for bringing this thread back to life. i just saw murderball and it
is amazing. took it home from the fire station just so my wife could see it. i even thought about showing the scene of the kids asking the team questions to my children.
i'll second huggy's approval of "short cuts". robert altman does amazing justice to a dozen or so short stories by raymond carver.
many good movies listed on the past seven pages, but i'll throw a couple out that i didn't see listed. one surreal and one sublime (you be the judge which is which
)
1. first of all, "crash" -- an incredible movie that, like "short cuts", has an ensemble cast. it should garner some oscar attention. as a father, the scene where the old man comes to shoot the locksmith took my breath away. the most powerful scene i have
ever seen.
2. much different, "the devil's rejects" -- should garner NO oscar attention. certainly not for everyone, but if you can deal with blood, guts, and clowns, then give it a try. compared to his rookie effort, "house of a 1000 corpses", you can see rob zombie's developlment as a film maker. watch the supplemental dvd on the making -- a "how to" for any aspiring film maker.
regards.

I watched that a while back, even after I had given up on McDonalds, etc.
Pretty discusting.
My neice impressed me at my bros' wedding.
Everyone at our table was hungry and I said something about splitting and hitting McD's.
She says, No way, I read this book about fast food, and I will Never eat at another fast food restaraunt.
Good for her.
She just turned 16 and to stay away from that crap at such a young age will have to pay off.
Oh, yeah, movies...just watched Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
Good movie, but it was hard to eat and read at the same time.
The ending was one of those , uh, ok, wtf?

yeah, my daughter watched Supersize Me with me and when I told her she wouldn't be eating fast food anymore (even though she only very rarely ate it as well), she said, "GOOD!"
I'm not sure if I mentioned this movie in this thread before, but I just watched it again and it's fantastic: Red Violin. I also recently saw Crash, which I highly recommend. We hit up the library for movies today and I've got The French Lieutenant's Woman, Windtalkers and The Insider yet to watch. Yay for popcorn!

Red Violin is a neat movie. The Insider scared the crap out of me...of course, I was prosecuting tobacco companies when I watched it. Oh and I was a week away from a meeting at the Sealbach Hotel. You'll learn the significance of that hotel in the movie 8)

Just watched my first Cheech and Chong movie last night (Up In Smoke).... can't say it's a favorite, but it's definitely hilarious.

your first Cheech and Chong?? Jared has definitely been slacking off. You should start with all of the Cheech and Chongs and then move into Monty Python before advancing to the Zucker brothers (Airplane!) and Naked Guns
