I understand what you're saying, Mia. Personally, I never dated any man who liked going to strip bars and I know plenty of men who don't like strip bars for the same reason as my own. It's not that I wouldn't have gone out with someone if they did, it's just that I wasn't attracted to that *kind* of person.
Alan Evil - I wish I could put into words how degrading it feels to some woman to be viewed at as tits and ass alone...but I can't. Don't get me wrong, I love SCIN grabbing me and being solely focused on my goods and I pray he never stops. But we have such a huge underlying respect for each other so our relationship is much more than that. I think women just want to be valued for who they are and have worked so hard to become, not what they just so happened to be born with. It's kind of like a double edged sword because even though women don't want to be viewed at as a sex object we still want to be viewed as sexy. Damn...women are a confusing bunch, eh?

Heh heh. Though you appear to, for the most part, not be the type of women I'm talking about... you are sometimes, aren't you?
Have any of you ever been to Italy? You should try it. You'd have newfound respect for how in control and subtle American men are.

An interesting topic for sure. The problem is that men are overwhelmed with images of women that are meant to invoke thoughts of sex. Just look through any climbing or rock and ice. Women in sports tops shot from the top with full cleavage action. In the newest one there is a pic of a women following a route in a PMI ad, very much designed for this effect. For contrast, go a couple pages back to the misty mtn ad which shows two women climbing in sweatshirts, with one leading. Which one is more "real"? But which one probably has more impact? Just one small example. So, as men, were are kinda conditioned to "look first, talk second".
But, how many women never think about how they dress, as it relates to guys checking them out? Ever put on a pair of jeans and checked out how your ass looks? Wear a sports top just for the "look"?
I have no answers other then the fact that as I got older, patience became easier and anticipation become more exciting then instant gratification.

Take Chester for example. She climbs at 5.9 trad. This is a respectable grade but there are harder climbers out there Why is Chester widely respected as a climber and not considered just a (super) set of tits. Its because she presents herself in a capable manner and she has strong climbing mojo.
Now if you are not a capalble woman, If you regularly ask men to lead for you. If you flounder on the rock, hang-dogging and complaining. If you lose your cool enroute. Then guys (and girls) will consider you what you are. Fluff..... a piece of ass...... a rock climber groupie....

You hit the nail on the head here - what a comparison - the term euro-trash came about for a valid reason.
Italian men could mistake a hole in the wall for a woman and try to "take it for a walk"
