There was also the group of kids who started throwing rocks at me while I was waiting for a light to turn green and then the countless number of people who like to throw pennies. pricks.
Those people probably just knew you...

Those maggots have no class. I have a very short fuse when it comes to shit like this and am more than willing to risk my ass to seek vengeance. U locks and chains have a dual purpose but can be hard to get to in the heat of the moment- my favorite is the quick fist to the fender. Give em' a big dent and boogie on where they can't follow. Let em' be reminded of their stupidity every time they see that big ding. After being cussed at, spit on, rammed of the road (literally) and hit n' run on, you better have a gun if you're stepping out of the vehicle to fuck with me- Sorry, but these things get me heated just hearing about them.

Hell yeah raaaaaaaaaage!
Thanks for all the stories, we knew weren't alone on this one, some people are real assholes. I just had to vent in a public forum. Next time I'll focus more on the tags and less on catching up to them.

It's always good to also carry something metal to scratch all the way down their car if you catch up to them.

When I was a college kid in Lexington some asshole threw a quart bottle of beer at me. Fortunately it missed me, but it smashed on the bike and left glass all over the street. In fact I had so many bad experiences on the road that I quit riding altogether in the seventies. Then mountain bikes came along, and an adult could actually ride a bike again without automatically offering themselves up as a martyr to any moron that could get a driver's license.

never had stuff thrown at me, but some mouthy pricks behind rolled up glass are the norm. a foot in the fender or as i like to do; hit their car, smash the window and roll all the way over the car. they won't soon forget.
