Climbing is all about good adventure to me so exploring, finding, and climbing new lines is a lot of fun. Wes, whatever you choose to do when you go climbing just make sure you are having fun.

I can't add another option to the poll, but I didn't really mean it that way. Kinda jokingly, so feel free to add a reply with what you feel you do FA's for.
Overhung, that is why I added the * to new. Some of the lines are OW, which it seems many FA's type people avoid. The others are maybe kinda harder and/or need major cleaning.
I think Snyder posted something on climbky like "nothing gets the wood up like a virgin, but I kinda like to sit back and enjoy the work of others" or something like that.
If I came across a super classic looking line that was not to dirty, then I think I would jump on it for sure.

I agree with legion and John. Its all about the adventure. There was some climber who said -"I can remember every partner for every trad route I did in the last thirty years. I can only recall a few partners I sport climbed with."
Similarly, I distinctly rember every FA (or every FA attempt) and the intricate details. I just had so much fun it was memorable. Plus, you get to name stuff!
Dwayne's Pain
War Emblem
Howlin Dog
Green Pantyhose
Ankle Biter
Into the Arms of the Rotodendran
Roark
Ends and Means
Thing 1
thing 2
Width Flare
...
Just a neat way to entertain your mind after you entertained your body.
Plus, I kinda like getting dirty.
The only time its disapointing is when the route isn't as hard as you thought it would be.
Plus, it will never be crowded.

Yeah, hugs is a SPRAYLORD alright. He just needs some work on his spelling. What the heck is a "Rotodendran", something HF & his buddies dish out? I guess that comes with the territory for a BAND CREATURE
