i agree with krampus, depends on what it is. i prefer not to see life-like spiders and snakes left behind unless it's a buddy to buddy thing. that could actually be dangerous to climbers such as krampus, not to mention it might f up one of my own redpoints!

A friend once put what I thought was a rubber snake in the pack he knew I was going to look into eventually. Pretty f-ing funny to watch his shoulders slump when I was intrigued rather than frightened by what turned out to be a dead - not rubber - snake.
