the problem is you are reading the rags. I gave it up after one subscription. It was a million ads with a couple stories about some kid sending something I'll never climb in some foriegn country I'll never go to. Well, except for the Issue with Merrick on the cover. That was cool.

I also went to a high school basketball game, and forgot how every teen does the same two things on the court...pulls up the front of their shirt and wipes their face/nose (more from habit/nervousness than need) and flips their foot up behind them and supposedly wipes dust of their soles (like 117 times a game)....lol......
Most high-school gyms don't get regularly dusted. So wiping the dust off your shoes does make a big difference.

At least the habit of licking your hand and wiping the dust off your shoes that way has died off since I was in high school. That was pretty disgusting to watch, since it inevitably happened more than once per person.

I just read that issue, too, though the only thing that struck me as kind of unnecessary was that the guy who traveled to Argentina with Katie Brown felt it was important to note that one of her reasons for leaving early was so that the relationship wounds she'd left behind in the States didn't puss over. I felt like I was in the grocery line at Kroger reading USA Today for a second.

you WOULD say that..what are you, a high school janitor? before our games, the floor was always cleaned, and also at halftime. you must have went to a sorry ass school.

toad...it wasn't my eye sight going, but my hearing. in the story, it was highly apparent that collette was the eye candy that wasn't having a good time when the boys wanted to flex their stuff at the boy crags.

and scin, yes, a highly descriptive story beats "sick, rad, dope" anyday..those aren't desciptive words anyway....we all know that whatever their latest send is, of course the dopest, badddest ever. leave that crap writing to Urban Climber.

Yasmeen, I caught that same pissed off slight about Katie that you did...totly uncalled for. like some moron dude climbing a stupid piece of rock is fulfilling a higher calling, but Katie wanting to find love (or heal emotionally) is a real loser...

Not only did it get written into the story, but an editor let it run? Sounds like great stuff. Yep. great stuff.
