Nice send, I seem to remember that the East Buttress route is actually located on El Cap. so how can it not be a El Cap route? Reguardless, it is no walk in the park.
because i can

it must be a grade VI to be an el cap route... the east butt is a grade IV... im not saying it is easy, it is just not an el cap route (meaning you cant tell people that you have climbed el cap)...

Yes, this is a test question. It is a test to see if you are an ass-clown. Choose your words carefully.

Rick, I am sorry to inform you that you did not indeed climb the East Buttress. Upon further review of the instant replay, ynp1 has determined that a party foul was committed. The latest "it's all good, there are no rules brah" attitude has changed in Yosemite...please file the appropriate application to see if your ascent will be validated.

In the meantime, congrats.
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.

man, i said nothing bad about doing the east butt... i think it was bad ass! and i told him so. so you all need to calm down. but it does not make it an el cap route... that is all i said....

So Congrats Rick! i was more responding to the title of the post "el cap". not weather he climbed the climb...

So, having done the East Butt. I figured I could say I had climbed El Cap. Which route must I now do to add the Captain to my my tick list? I walked off. Do I get any credit for the decent?
