I think he's talking about the home page, specifically the element that shows the recent threads. Sure, it sounds lazy to want to save a couple of clicks, but it's a suggestion to improve the home page, right? You're right - since the forums are already well organized then it would be relatively easy to split the recent posts by type. That recent port element on the home page is a better "at a glance" view of a post than the forum index.

I think users who are pretty used to browsing the forum have it down well and probably don't see any advantage in it. I have to admit I haven't looked at the View posts since last visit () so I will need to try that.

honestly I am not sure how one could ever keep up with all the drama without using the view since last visit button? people who don't know to use it probably have a very low quality of life and I feel very sorry for them, I hope that things improve for them soon with this latest forum use lesson.

You're right, there tends to be a lot of drama here to deal with. I didn't know how bad my life was until now.

OK. So I didn't log in over the weekend and check forums. Just logged in and did the 'posts since last time' and had to process through 35 different topics/posts, a true potpourri of interests and shennanigans. I guess some people/climbers really don't have lives after all.

Was following the 'crowded crag' thread this morning and it was already bumped by this afternoon. Had there been 10 topics/heads on the home page, I probably would have went straight to the ones I was looking for; but hey, I'm trying this whole sheep thing that everyone says is so tight, er, right.

baaaaaa.
