whatever, you can't tell me that you haven't used some funds to finance that fancy schmancy trailer you got down by the river....
I am teasin of course. You guys do wonderful things for the area. I hope Roc Trip is a great great success. While out West, climbers always talked pretty positive about the Red, but it seemed like the "industry" was not real convinced that it was a great climbing area...I hope that is coming around and it seems like the industry is changing its mind and it's really almost completely due to the efforts of this great volunteer corps that is doing great things in the Red. I am sure that a successful RocTrip will definitely boost the climbing image as well. The people image I think has always been stellar. Way to go.
Oh - is Timmy O'Neill gonna be doing a video? I love those, he's a riot. Before I really knew who was who in the climbing world...I was volunteering for Red Rock Rendezvous and he was just hanging out at my area reading a book and we chatted off and on all day, real nice guy...I had no idea who he was till I said something about his hat (an O'Neill hat from the surfing gear) and he said something about his name...I still didn't know who he was till that night at the slide presentation, he came out on stage dressed as a cockroach and did his thing and then was up there to present Joe and I with a bottle of wine...we won volunteers of the year for that particular rendezvous....imagine that.
Sorry for the ramble.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread......
