Thanks for the beta. I do appreciate it. As I said earlier though, I didn't intend to chalk up the ascent as a 12, I just had not made that distinction in my spray log (see earlier post for disclaimer). Todd backed me up when he said most people who would claim that ascent have only done the first pitch. As for me riding high in the saddle, that's the story of my life. I am super agressive, super motivated and yes, I climb to attain certain goals and yes, I like to spray. I am not sure what you mean by insecurities, but it seems that you are the one disguising things. I gather this from the fact that YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE MAKING ANY KIND OF SNIDE REMARK DIRECTLY TO ME! (...well, aside from that Member joker, but I figure that's either your other profile or one of your kids playing on the computer.) What really gets me though is that you don't even know me. For someone whom I have spoken to (in passing) a total of two times, you seem to take an almost childish pride in making the comments that you have. For someone who is supposed to be a mature adult, you seem to stoop to an AWFULLLY low level to take your shots. Seems to me that the most insecure people are the ones taking shots at anyone who displays any confidence. I guess the ol' saying is true: Misery loves company, eh Johnny?

Is there a way to blend this thread with the "we need more arguing" one? :P

Yeah, I am pretty reactive but it's just part of my nature. You have opened this can of worms and now you have to fish with them. I also find it quite amusing that you, of all people, should be talking about being 'mature'. The thing about it is that if it were a friend of mine making those comments, I wouldn't give it a second thought. If I had even known you for any length of time, it wouldn't have mattered. THAT'S what got on my nerves, not the comments themselves. Does that make any sense? It's something you are taught when you are very young, "if you can't say anything nice....etc, etc". Were you picked on a lot when you were young and now you are giving it back to all those mean people who made you feel bad, or were you the bully and just never did grow out of it? For a lawyer, you sure don't go very far in the tact/diplomacy departments.

Hey Steve,
well, I have known a few lawyers (I was engaged to one at one point), and can honestly say that it's the 98% of them that make the other 2% look bad.

Hey Monkey, I did the second pitch of Way Up Yonder today. It's pretty damn cool. Very pumpy. Very steep. It's a bunch of high steps and long reaches to okay holds. Did I say it was steep? The clipping holds aren't as bad as I thought they would be but you're pretty pumped by that time so it's still a tough clip.

I highly recommend giving it a shot. The rumor of chossy rock on the second pitch is one of those gay Lexington rumors for sure.

Thanks for the beta Ray! I am definitely going to try it out when the weather fairs back up.
