Wasn't there some recent news about how 20% of the Russian workforce are alcoholics and that use of poisonous alcohol substitutes was rampant?

compare what is considered there as an accepted form of recreation for the common man/woman/family vs here in the US. Seriously, is it any wonder we are a bunch of obese couch potatoes?
When I go to the pool with my five year old it is truly an exception to see adults and children that are not obese. What has happened to our culture?
