big love rob. i am training for a long run right now too. i agree with the pig...run / walk / crawl...it will be an amazing way to honor a truly amazing friend.

Rob,
I admire your committment to your friend!!! I donated what I could and wish you well in your race. I know your stance on Religion and such, but your friend is in my prayers. People need more friends like you, I should be so lucky,

Ditto what the others said. That sorta distance is as much a mental thing as it is a physical thing. It corny as hell to say, but I'll say it anyway. One foot in front of the other. Shut the total distance out of your mind and take it one stride at a time. Oh and good playlist of tunes takes the edge off any run, I don't care what the purists say. Stick with the training and run the race your body lets you run.

playlists suck..ignore steve..it isn't running if you have to wear headphones. it is a night at the movies.

the best part is that rob is not mentioning the fact that his injury is a stress fracture.... when we talked about it rob, it definitely did not sound like something you should run on! i think you should be careful, but i also agree that your committment is amazing.
i may have to donate now/donate later to see where funds are at, but i am really psyched to see you do this!
