I think South Park has it right. If Jesus really were here preaching his teachings, he would only be on cable access since less than 1 in 10,000 Christians really want to follow Jesus' teachings to the letter. Does anyone really think Jesus would be happy with multi-million dollar churches while people starve all around the world?

saxman, isn't that sort of pushing the blame around? how can YOU be happy with starving people while going climbing, owning a home, a car, etc....the whole blame christians line is so over played...if the atheists and agnostics were such genuine and philanthropic folks themselves, seems to me these problems wouldn't exist, in spite of the mega churches....just a thought.

But blaming the christians is so easy. It's much more fun calling them hypocrites than offering up real solutions to the world's problems.

if the christians would just be ok with being rotten self center human beings like everyone else and stop venting there guilt on the rest of the world things would be just fine. no they have to try and make me feel bad so they feel better. well at least one of their terrorist has died.

now there is a cheery, fatalisitc worldview for you aspiring folks out there.

rhunt, is the christians guilt sort of like the enviros guilt for using so much oil in their cars? what is Gore supposed to do, since he is a baptist AND an environmentalist...that man must be so guilt laden...

sax, I am with you..it is easy to poke fun instead of offer solutions. I would much rather go climbing and do my thing than provide real solutions to poverty, hunger, and poor drinking water conditions.
