I got called into work at 2:25 this morning because some idiot was supposedly shooting at cops in Frankfort. Then when I couldn't find any signs of unrest in the capital city, a fire broke out at an apartment building in Lexington. All this caused me to miss out on a trip to the Red 'cause some hiker got lost yesterday and SR was out all night looking for the guy. Waaaa
I'm going to bed.

Back on topic - there's a growing Chicago-based chain of toasted sandwich shops called Potbelly's (not bad, not great). At the location near my office, the management clearly orders the poor staff to engage customers in cheerful conversation. "HI! HOW ARE YOU?!? HOW'S IT GOING?!? WHAT'S UP!?!" I don't have the excuse that it's early in the morning, but sheesh! I'm hungry and want a sandwich - that's how I am. They also think it's a great idea to have acoustic-guitar-singers in the stores so I have to crank my iPod up to mask the crooning. Ugh.
(don't think about .... focus on work .... erm ... err .... damn! maybe if I set off a fire sprinkler it will work as a cold shower...... )
