Even though your smoke detectors are wired, they all have battery backups that will beep when they run low. I'd check 'em all.

If that's not it, I'd say you left a vibrator running without lube and it's squeaking.

Just tryin' to be helpful!

Had it been my vibrator running I think I would have smelled the exhaust fumes from the engine. :P

I've lived in this house for seven years and never checked for batteries in the detectors. I can't imagine they would have lasted that long. but I'll look into it.

My family had that exact same thing a few months ago, Lynne. We were about to tear the stove out of the wall because we thought it was the timer or something weird, but yeah, ours just stopped finally too. It was similar to Chinese water torture...

My C02 monitor battery started dying(beeping) the first night of the ice storm. So here I am taking out the battery at 1am with a fire going and a chimney that needs cleaning. I didn't sleep much that night.

It's caused by a Russian scalar EM carrier wave. Supposedly the greatest WMD known to man.

I figured out what it is. It is a warning buzzer to let you know that you have only 1 year left before the big 40. Happy belated birthday!
