It's amazing that a man who could devote so much time to the study of mythology could also find the time to pursue a career as a country music singer and start a successful soup company.

I looked at it but the spirit wasn't in me. I've been on an American history kick here recently. Needed a big picture first, so I read Paul Johnson's A History of the American People. Over 900 pages and a pleasure to read. Moved on now to a book of essays on the presidents called To the Best of My Ability. Lots of great pictures, which is always a plus. Probably move on to world history after that.
