If I am interpreting this right the bill only gives credit for hunting and fishing? Climbing is something that would have to be added to the bill? If this is correct could some information be provided as to who people need to write to?

The bill has not yet been filed and there is no final version. It does not only give credit for hunting and fishing. It gives a conservation easement that is granted to properties based upon a number of factors. COMPATIBILITY with hunting, fishing, and wildlife-related activities is one factor for consideration. There is a committee that conducts a blind review of proposed plats of land based upon numerous criteria. I suggest that anyone interested read the bill when it is filed and show up at the rally.

By the way, I work for the Department of Fish & Wildlife and won't be responding to anything unless there is serious misinformation about the bill. I've been working too much lately as it is

they could start by opening up climbing access on state property to show how well it works out - let's say for example ...umm natural bridge

i doubt they'd ever open up full access in state parks and kind of don't blame them. i could see a planned usage system working. maybe starting with reopening pocket wall
