no but if you're a climber or even consider yourself more than an average athlete you don't qualify or need to worry about your heart. My guess, pro basketball players should have their hearts checked on a regular basis.
Interesting study though

Yes pigsteak I read. Any serious alpine climber qualifies who has been doing so for 5 years or more. leave home

Sounds pretty bogus. They took people with known problems (referred to cardiology because of an arrythmia) and compared them to regular endurance athletes. This means they can demonstrate what makes their study population different from the "normal" people, but does NOT mean they can make predictions about the rest of the population.
