squish. let's not freak out. while it should have already been replaced, the best thing we can do is to work on getting a new table for Linda rather than wasting energy (and it is wasting energy, people) trying to undo mistakes, or make the situation better by screaming at someone.

The amount of pleasure I've obtained from telling that story will probably even out any effort I put into replacing it.

no need to place blame on this issue. thats not going to fix it any faster or make things any better. lets get the thing replaced, lets make sure when climbers go to lagos they behave and PAY !
i for one would like to buy her a bottle of her favorite drink and a card from the community apologizing for what happened and try to keep the area open to climbers and future events.
we waste so much time bitching and moaning on this board. put your words to action and get involved !

The name request was because everyone kept hinting and tempting us with it, personally, I would rather help build the new table than waste my time arguing with some asshole about replacing it.

I can understand why you're curious. But again, it's not going to solve much. We can just chalk it up to the community taking up some slack. And I really appreciate everyone pitching in with ideas, etc. I think Kenny knows what Linda likes to drink RRO!

If it wasn't an accident, it would be more fun to nail the asshole to the table you just made. Nothing like a cold night to help someone reassess their values and maybe learn to use better judgement.

It was a total accident, and that's the thing about accidents, they usually end up causing some grief.
But, it's not that big a deal. If that's the worst thing that happened at the event then I consider it a resounding success. Jr's table he ain't using, a trip from Lex in a truck, and then all is good.
Problem solved, move along, nothing to see here.
