Thank goodness for services like dynamic dns.
Yeah - I was guessing that you (and your mom) just had the world's coolest ISP(s). Mine has told me that they actively block servers (but who knows if they actually do). Good luck, and thanks for the effort keeping things running! (Don't forget to back up!)

Yeah, real dedication. I figured there would be a lot of people going crazy in their cubicles right about now.

So Ray, how did you and Michelle's house and vehicles fair? Your area was hit pretty hard, so I imagine it will be a few days till you get power back. Let me know if Jill and I can do anything to help you two out.

By the way does anybody have a chainsaw they wanna let me borrow?
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

The site was down? Well, we've been without phone and cable for three days. I always fashioned myself as a rugged, outdoor, individualist, but have found that I am a mewling, addicted to the internet, loser. Thanks for the efforts Ray.
I've had just about enough of this shit.

we have been without power since saturday night and our neighborhood looks like a war zone but the entire time we were watching the neighbors' trees exploding, we were comforted by the fact that we are not home owners.

When the site went down for 2 days I just figured Ray finally made pancakes out of his family and the men in white coats put him in a rubber room or something. It's nice the board is back! I had a 3 day vacation at home, sled riding, picture puzzles, shoveling snow. On the downer side, the big green camper is terminaly sick,Its time for a new ride.

Sorry to hear it, ynot. Yeah my 3-day was pretty nice, except that I have something along the lines of 3rd degree whiplash (if there's a scale for it) from all the spills I took trying to learn how to snowboard...

Our house got hit kinda bad but nothing major. Our gas/electric meter was torn out of the house along with a 6ft conduit pipe and some siding. No heat so we're with Ray's mom for the rest of the week, then to a hotel probably for another week or two until the city gets around to giving our little old house some attention. A live wire is still laying across our driveway and it's been three days! Luckily, our insurance is going to cover everything. It's actually a pretty phenominal event, really. Ray will post some pictures soon...

Stick with it! Things get much better by the fourth or fifth day of riding!
