The trail up the hill to longbow is gone from weed growth.

Yeah I know. Should have just turned around. Of course, that wouldn't have been any fun. If I knew I was going to be bushwhacking I would have worn pants and long sleeves and a machete. From the look of the rock, those areas aren't getting anywhere near the traffic of Bruisbros, Indy, Great Wall, etc. I don't know if it's because of the brush or the brush is because no one is going to these areas.

Yeah, allah and I ran into that a couple weeks ago - we entered the cliffline at the Sanctuary trail and exited from the Inner Sanctum trail... about 5 minutes in we wished we'd gone back down the Sanctuary trail, but alas. Perhaps a proj for the next Gathering?

The next Gathering (Sept 23-24) is currently in the planning stages and we will definitely keep this one in mind. As always, thanks for the input guys.

FYI, we bolted a few routes at the Stadium on the weekend of May 6th and did not come across any kind of overgrowth... something to keep in mind this time of the year, the brushes can get really thick in a short amount of time. Also, the Inner Sanctum trail (the one that branches off the main Tantroft Hollow trail), is prone to briar growth.

I agree with Saxman that these walls do not get as much traffic as Bruise Bros, etc. The next FoMV newsletter has a feature on the Stadium - hopefully it will get people psyched and check out the routes there which are really some great ones. Kneebar put up some awesome climbs in that area and the new additions are definitely worth checking out as well.

Mark, one of the Muir Crew has been weed eating trails whenever he can. I'm sure he'll be getting to that area soon. Thanks for your concern and patience.

Can we put up no sex signs while we're at it? I never thought I would mind the sound of a woman's orgasm till I was balanced on a precarious nub with my hand in a sloper pocket ready to barndoor and take a bad fall. Now that is a distraction one really doesn't need while trying to send. It might have been more enjoyable if I were on the ground.

Sorry, Saxman, Spragwa and I get a little carried away as we're falling sometimes...
