If you are correct, than I think you have greater issues than keeping tabs on the voluntary upkeep of the vegetation. But seriously, did you count repeat visits or just each iniduvudual?

der uber, after the 5,400th visitor to that tree, the stench changes. 5,467 was merely a rough guesstimate on my part....best of luck in finding a "non-soiled" tree to render incapicitated.

I am curious. If just a week ago, gunslnga says youy were close to closing torrent...why the sudden change? Do we have to fear that in the future you may close Torrent without notice? For example, being human nature, folks will soon "forget" many of your rules and go back to their bad behavior...I hope not, but want to be realistic.
Would you please inform us BEFORE the behavior gets intolerable to you (the next time)? That way, as a peer group, hopefully we can snuff it out sooner.
And thank you for keeping it open.
Kipp
( Mark, I was informed by another concerned climber that this messgae came across "rude" to them. In no way is this meant to be disrespectful to you or your facilities. I was trying to say we would love to be proactive in helping keep Torrent open, and the best way for us to know when things go south is from you, since you see it on a daily basis.)
(Is that better meadows?)
Hey Kipp! You and I can be in the Climbers That Have Come Across As Rude Club together! I'm President, though. But you can be my bitch VP. 8)
Er, uh...sorry to Hijack the thread...
Mark, you all rule as always. Thanks for letting us keep playing in your backyard. And if you ever need any help getting the point across again (nicely or not so nicely), just let me know and I'll help you get the word out through this site.

I am a reasonable person. There will be violators of rules. That's why we have problems today in the world. But if things get out of hand, I will close Torrent to climbing without warning. For those who ask "how bad does it have to get?" or "how will we know?" The answer is, you will see the closed to climbing signs all over Torrent. There will be a post that will say Torrent is closed to climbing. There will be no more grace periods. I do not want to be rude, but people continue to violate my family's simple rules. Can I and everyone else come and piss on your foilage in your yard every weekend? Think for a second and then react.
That just pisses me off (ha ha.... sort of).
See you guys, Mark
