Herpetarium's just past the Rest Area in Slade (you actually have to turn into the Rest Area and follow the signs)... I think they are still closed for the season though.

Hike up to Natural Bridge. It's across the street from Miquel's and it's a beautiful view. Good photo ops.

Drive to lexington. Wander around barnes and noble (or Joesph Beth) for a couple hours. Eat lunch at Moe's. Catch an early movie. Grab an O'round and a couple beers at the pub. Drive back to the red.

I have been to the reptile zoo! It is small but cheap and fun!! The guy that owns the place is great. His stories about the snakes, when he use to be a cop and the rest of his crazy life are well enough to make the trip worth while.
