Here's an idea- an event people would pay to see: competitive Rhodo-thrashing:
Mark a course with plastic tape, going through the thickest Rhodos you can find. Load each person with a 50 lb. pack. Send in 5 at a time. You must wear jeans and a t-shirt, no gloves. Set cameras up all over to record the event! Place bets on the winner!

You could have several events-

Rhodos
Open Forest
Pickers and thorny plants
Combination

I don't think you would have many takers for the 'pickers and thorny plant' event.

It would be like WWF wrastlin'!
All of the competitiors would talk to the camera about their bushwhacking experience, and what they think of the course.
Entry fee- $2
Spectator fee- $6
Betting Fee- $4 per person. Bet limit- 10$

All funds generated go to the RRGCC!

I can't read Leagalese, can anybody tell me if heving bets would be legal?

Looks like a 'charitable gaming' license would be needed?

You all just need to wait til summer time though. Not really worth doing unless it is over 90 with 90% humidity and you need a nice patch of nettles to finish through.

Who else is in? Chris? Jared? JJ? Tim? We need at least 5 competitios, and at least one with short legs than mine.

I think spring would be best, as that would ensure plenty of mud underfoot.

I'm with kip- no machette- someone could get seriously hurt rather than just bruised and scratched.
