Yeah, I think it is too. It is height and humidity dependent though.

Nah, the rule of changing the grade only if the concensus grade is two grades off from what the FA grade was.

What John said about ratings was great, I couldn't agree more. I know that for me being freakishly tall makes ratings some what estimates, for what the difficulty is actually for me. I thought Vandalism was easier than some mid 10's that I have done, but overhangs kill me becuase my weight is so spread out. What Johnny said was right and people should just use ratings as an estimate.

Hey! Whenever I find a hard (for me) route I think I can actually send, up pops a 'downgrading' discussion! Dang it, I think I can actually send Whipstocking sometime soon, and here's everyone grumbling to downgrade. While you all may be endurance monsters, I can say that for me, the pump factor makes Whipstocking pretty damn tough.
On the other hand, I love the fact that I both nearly sent A.W.O.L. and it's become a 10c - I like that!
