The answer is for the moderators to edit the stupid sparing in the online guide. Only route information should be in the online guide, not all the other crap.

Shoot, do you know how much work that would take? I just say let it ride. It's not like you *have* to read it.

Anonymous posts just are not worth the damage done to the community. The negativity outweighs any imaginable (perceived but likely fictitious) benefit that could come from anonymity.

Likely fictitious? Anonymous comments have helped me many times in getting accurate facts for the print guidebook. That is beneficial for me.

Ray it is your site; that was my opinion.
More opinions:
- These someone comments are not credible.
- . . . . are malicious.
- . . . . do not protect freedom of speech.
If someone is getting something out it, it might be worth the cost, but the logic of the someone option completely mystifies me.

What about a "rate this comment" button beside comments? Only people logged in could vote + or - and those with more negative votes than positive would go to the bottom but still be viewable. This would also mean comments would need to be sorted by date in descending versus ascending order as they are now. That way the community does the work, not mods, except for the initial coding obviously.

I don't understand how making someone register before they post an obnoxious comment is going to do anything. There is no solution for this. It only takes an email account to get a username on here. If someone wants to post an obnoxious comment they'll just grab a username and post it.

I was of the opinion that the someone comments were bad. Most of the time they are jackass comments. I'm over it at this point. And sometimes they are funny.
but if you did require they login, at least there would be a name to it other than someone.
