So today I was given direction to make an addition to the map including a conceptual layout for a grading plan of a site above the proposed pool elevation boundary. Meaning: someone wants to create a huge paved parking lot right above the valley (the size of a shopping center!).
Does he have a strange bear claw like appendage protruding from his neck? He kep petting it.

http://www.adv-res.com/ keep coming up in google, but nothing directly related. The are big time into advaced oil and natural gas recovery (which is what the oil and NG fields around the red are).

A recent US Supreme Court case could be interpreted to actually give private developers near "emminent domain" powers. That is not my area of practice but I think it arose in Virginia(the state not the climber)merrick wrote:can they do that????
what I mean is can they take private land from people to make a resevoir the same way the government can take land for interstate highways?
Of course there are lots of other hurdles like archaelogical and protected species type stuff.
