GUN...Hummm, this really shows that we are all a big-great-family.
The gathering is not really part of the RRGCC, but in fact, we are all climbers, and we choose to spend a lot of our climbing at the RED. Therefore, (and I really hope that I am not mistaking), the Gathering is organized by www.muirvalley.com and the Fest is organized by www.rrgcc.org - although it would seem only logical that someone at the Gathering would be able to help you out and explain the RRGCC or any other questions you may have.
! Enough with all that detestation ALREADY !

How do you sign up for the comp ?
We are working on putting up a registration form on the website and also making arrangements for registrations to be taken at supporting business locations. There will be a separate comp flyer too. Let me know of any continuing problem downloading the flyer and I will see what our webmaster can do.

Vic,
Either way I'm coming, I'm trying to get involved in any way I can, with whomever will accept my help. I'm new to all this group/community/family thing, in the Red. I've been there a million times, have probably been in spitting distance of most of you at times, but have never approached/been approached by anyone. I'm not shy or anti-social in anyway, but a few times at Miguels when I asked "Climbers" for beta/help/directions I got attitude or cold sholdered, so I temporarily gave up on the social climber aspect. I met JR and Eric at Torrent, and Jeff Kennedy at True North they immediatley took me and my belayer/girlfriend/climber under they're wings.
In less than 4 months we were climbing really well and safely. I got on here looking for Scin, he's an old friend, from before he started climbing. I met Crankmas in the personals, he mailed me a rope and I had'nt even paid him. I started posting and talking to everyone who would and wa la. Anyway, I have noticed a whole our side/your side, our crew/your crew thing, I won't be apart of that, I've been out of highschool along time. I appreciate your post, look me up at the Gathering, I should'nt be hard to miss.
sorry so long!!!

The Gathering and Rocktober fest are very different - but I am sure you will have fun at both. Welcome. Climb safe, climb hard.

Maybe someone should distribute name tags. My favorite is:
" HELLO My name is

None of your fucking business."

Sorry I just saw that at a tatoo place a while back and thought it was funny in a sick sort of way.

of trying is I feel more guilty.

I was truly sorry that I was unable to attend either Charlie's RRC party or the Gathering this weekend due to my niece's wedding. Rocktoberfest is less than two week's away! A flyer and registration form for the climbing competition planned at Torrent are now posted on the RRGCC website in the Events area. Check it out and spread the word. If you are interested in volunteering to help with the event please let me know through a PM. Volunteers will receive an event tee and free admission to the Rocktoberfest party.

Image Move your Westy aside. This is Red Bull's vehicle with audio/video system that they are looking at bringing to Rocktoberfest. Anyone heading south for the bouldering comp this weekend might want to spread the word about the $1,000 Open Category cash purse for the Rocktoberfest comp (See flyer: http://www.rrgcc.org/events.php)
