"i had it..":

"..but then i was too pumped"
"..but the holds weren't brushed"
"..but the holds weren't ticked/chalked and i didn't know where i was supposed to go"
"..but it's so humid"
"..but the rope was too heavy"

i have to call myself out on the humid excuse.. but sometimes it really is! ;)

I'm definitely guilty of the humid excuse! As well as being too short for the move, the hold being too bad for me to pull off of, and my hands hurting too much to hold on. :P

I usually fall back on the basic "i suck", but sometimes I sing the ski-lo, "I wish" song in my head....

I wish I was a little bit stronger,
I wish I had a little better technique..."

Huh? Are you talking about that nice mark on my left leg when I attempted to send Buddha Hole a la Artsay style ... and it didn't work out so well?

I wish I were a little bit taller,
I wish I were a baller,
I wish I had a girl who looked good,
I would call 'er...

Yep, that be the time! Nice scar, BTW. :)

I'm just pokin' fun Meadows. But you gotta admit, saying your draws weighed you down from making a move is pretty dang funny!

It is a lovely scar.

The draws didn't throw me off the move, I just missed. They weighed me into the rope ... or such is my guess since I've fallen a couple of times at the same spot with no problems. I thought that is what I said. :?

I always use height as an excuse...but as Joe always says...there are REASONS, but not EXCUSES....and I just keep saying, but being short IS a reason!
