I think WalMart has a life insurance policy on me that lists WalMart as the beneficiary :|

I have one through work. I also have other benefits that go to my heirs...my niece and nephew. But it ain't much...that way they don't have incentive to kill me.

I have a policy through work. I doubt it covers being killed while rock climbing. Of course that could be a good thing since my belayer is also my life insurance benificiary.

Maybe Walmart cannot go on without you, so they need insurance.

So, this post makes me question the "Beneficiary" part of the life insurance policy. Do I really want to list my partner (belayer) as my beneficiary? What if she is mad at me that day? I could have a sudden "accident" while being lowered from a route! Hmm... maybe I shouldn't list Karla then... What to do. What to do.

there are policies that will provide coverage even for rock climbers. It's a little more expensive, but not that much. Send me a p.m. and I can give you the name of the agent I used.

I used to joke about living fast and hard when I finally finish school. Then I would be able to enjoy life but then die before I have to pay much back on my loans only to stick my offspring with the tab. Somebody told me that student loans default and don't roll over into the estate if the borrower dies. I wonder if a life insurance policy would negate that and have to be used to pay the bill.
