Don't take my vote to mean much. I didn't study for finals and got decent overall grades. I got good overall grades becuase I did absurdly well on finals that I didn't study for. I was crap at getting my homework done, but I'm a mutant freak at taking tests.
You see the value in training for climbing, right? Basically, you should buckle down and do some studying.

If you are a good student, you should know what score you need on the final, down to the point, to get a certain grade.

I didn't study much for high-school finals, because I usually didn't need too high of a grade on them to do well in the class, and because they usually weren't that hard. In college, where sometimes the final is worth 30% of your grade, I studied my ass off for most of my finals.

Or law school with your entire grade resting on one final exam. That's mildly stressful.

yeah young'n, how are we to know how freakish all of your teachers are?
but i would err on the side of caution and study.
when i was in high school i pretty much knew how the tests would be structurally and on your syllabus it should say how much it counts towards your final. if you are using those as indicators then you should know how much you need to study.
good luck. we'll be expecting to see your report card grades posted on here soon.

didn't study and passed history/government classes studied and barely passed math. I just got finished with an exam today for a rank increase. damn thing cost me $350. per question. there was no way to study for it because the categories were so broad: historical documents, socail movement, conflict, resources, economic systems - it was a real bear too. I hope i get a good score, will mean lots more income if i do.

Maybe those are the same students who should get their diploma made by 6 year olds.
