Yasmeen of the Mountains
Thanks for taking care of the trip report for me, Jonathan! And thanks to you, Joe, and Stacy for an incredible trip-- I expected to have a blast, but climbing at 4 different places on 4 different types of rock in 4 days with you guys was much more than I could have asked for. Y'all rock. Thanks a bunch, and I'll see ya soon.

It was great having you Yas...come back soon....oh and everyone forgot to mention that Yas, Joe and myself all had well deserved sends of the approach to the Arizona Hot Springs Friday night. A three mile trek thru a wash filled with annoying sandy gravel stuff and ankle killing rocks and boulders...to a wonderfully relaxing, steamy natural hot springs just off the Colorado River. We took a nice night dip in the spring and camped on the river Thursday night before heading for limestone walls on Friday... anyone in the area should check it out...it's a nice way to spend an evening.
Oh and Yas - you should see the awesome bruise on my ass - it has surfaced, now 5 days later and is rather spectacular. I am thinking about sending you a picture. It really is something to behold.

Oh hell yes. That hike was ridiculous. Totally worth it for the midnight hot springs session, but heinous all the same. It's the closest I've ever come to falling asleep while walking. =)
I'm proud of the bruise on your ass. Make sure everyone knows who put it there. *angelface*

In all honestyand literally - Yas saved my tail. I probably would have an injured tailbone, instead of just a very colorful bruise, if it weren't for the spectacular belay skills of one Yasmeen Fowler. She assured me it would be OK to fall onto the first bolt and it was and I feel like more of a man now for taking the whip and getting back on lead a couple days later. (OK after some whimpering, crying, huffing, puffing and a little more crying). It will always be a comfort to have her on the other end of the rope.
I guess it would have been more interesting if I had just told the truth though and confessed to her having bent me over a granite boulder on the way to the hot springs and spanked me spiritedly until Joe caught up to us and much to our chagrin, made her stop.

The West has done you good, girl! You look great and you're climbing wonderfully. Keep it up and I'm psyched for you and Joe to move back here, whenever that may be.
PS - Joe just called me asking for beta on Lime Kiln Canyon-- if anyone's got any, feel free to post up or PM me.

haha - speaking of truck tipping and so on....we traded in Joe's old (very mangled - sorry) Toyota for a bigger badder truck a couple months ago in Vegas...like say 6 months ago and lo and behold...this weekend in Mesquite about an hour away from Vegas....we ran across it on a used car lot! We knew it was ours because it had some old quick links hooked to various parts of the truck that they never removed and there were still a few dents from when I tried to kill young'n climber - crazy - the damn truck is following us!
anyway - yeah hi everyone...we're still alive. ynot! I would love to go traddin...I miss the Red a lot...hope to visit this fall. (I might be up to LEADING a few pitches for ya! how bout that!)
