I like archeologists. They wear those cool pith helmets and dig with paint brushes, get chased by Nazis and rolling rocks. So cool.

well put
i can tell you both where to put it well.

just 'cause the forest service doesn't cater to the climbing community doesn't warrent a blanket statement of anger.

at least we can climb there if we have the gear to do it, right? it isn't closed off yet.

but, they do appear to be another case of bad bureaucracy.

Yeah, it's closed off, VA-- we saw it on Tuesday, remember? If Right Turret is as cool as Left Turret, then it's a shame it's closed. But hey, we had many years to climb it, and I personally never took advantage of all the time the fence wasn't there, so I have no right to say anything. Subatomic was a cool little route, I'm glad I got on it while I had the chance.

yeah, i can't commit to any single opinion b/c i try to validate everyones.

i figure, i hope, someday it'll reopen.

i love climbing. i'm not going to say that i have the passion and obsession which i find admirable in others to pursue it to its limit. but i see too that in public lands you have to give and take with other people who have passions that are going to be in conflict with our own.

and piggie can't commit to any single opinion b/c he is trying to infuriate everyone...

climbers do have a "i was here first mentality" to our climbs..we climb it once, or bolt it, and therefore it is now part of the historical context ...screw the people before us...they were probably trad climbers anyway...
