Rodney or Randall I think. That's about as much as I know about him.

Rodney, don't know the last name. He was not living the healthest of lifestyles, so something like this was probably in the cards for him sooner or later. Still, it is a hella shame. Nice enough guy - I have chatted with him a few times while eating at the Chevron.

See, there's the difference between Republican's and real humans. The Republicans think you deserve death if you're not just like them while real humans think it's sad when someone gets shot in the neck regardless.

What is that saying...? It was by some famous guy that a lot of people say they follow... oh, what was it...? Oh yeah! "Judge not lest ye be judged." I think that Jesus guy said that. He said something about loving the sinner as though he were your own brother and sharing your worldly goods with everyone and some other stuff. Sounds like a hippy and/or communist to me.

I think anyone that would shoot somebody in the neck and then burn them should sit in a windowless cell for the rest of their life with no chance of release.

It also seems that some people whose opinion I trust considerably thought he was a nice guy so it seems more polite to wait quietly to find out the truth rather than spit bile about the man: "the 'mayor' was probably peddling drugs to the school kids, sleeping with the road commissioner's daughter, and staying drunk on his ass days at a time. let's here the real story before this bogus outpouring of sympathy goes too far." Those are mean and spiteful things to say and they really don't come off as hypothetical suggestions. The word "probably" pretty much spoils that.

I used to have a whole slew of Bible quotes on various subjects like drinking and sharing and stuff (one of my favorites is Jesus making fun of John the Baptist for being uptight and pious while He was fat and drunk) but that notebook got stolen at a gig a long time ago (lost a whole bunch of original songs I never recorded or copied, too). Believe it or not I studied the Bible in college under a Presbyterian minister and I got an A (A is for Atheist, heh heh). I read a lot of the Koran too but it's even more confusing than the Bible and the translation I had was awful.

Anyway, I think it's just horrendous beyond words that this kind of thing happens at all. Everyone seems to have liked the Mayor, even those of us that just waved at him when we drove past. I just hope he was dead before the fire was lit.

So, has it been confirmed that the Mayor has indeed passed?

Only thing "bad" I saw the Mayor do was nick coffee from the Shell gas station....

Damn shame...he may not have been the most productive human being but no one deserves to be treated that way

My words were disrespectful to his family and friends, and for that I apologize.
